Matthew Barker, CPA, CVA
Partner
Matthew Barker is a Partner at Cooper Norman, bringing over a decade of expertise in accounting and tax strategy to the firm. Specializing in corporate and individual taxation for closely held businesses, Matthew has helped clients across a variety of industries to mitigate their tax liabilities and get closer to their financial goals.
As a trusted advisor, Matthew is committed to delivering tailored solutions that align with his clients’ unique goals. He enjoys working with his Cooper Norman team to foster strong client relationships built on trust and results.
Matthew holds an Honors Bachelor’s of Accounting degree from Idaho State University. He graduated in the top 10% of his class and was distinguished as a Horatio Alger Scholar. Beyond the office, he sits on the board of Pocatello Theatricals, a local non-profit organization.
Matthew has had a lifelong appreciation of music. In his youth, he sang in a barbershop quartet and learned to play several instruments, including the viola and the trombone. He continues to play the piano and enjoys arranging music.
Matthew’s greatest passion is his family. His favorite time is spent adventuring with his wife and their three sons.

Kolten Williams, CPA, MAcc
Partner
Kolten Williams is a Partner and for the past several years has worked at Cooper Norman helping taxpayers be strategic and efficient with their taxes.
Kolten is passionate about providing tax, financial statement, and consulting services to the Agriculture, Medical, and Construction industries. Kolten grew up in a farm community in southeast Idaho and has developed a love for agriculture. Kolten also has had the opportunity to help in his dad’s plumbing and heating business as well as other various jobs in the construction industry.
In their spare time, Kolten enjoys fly fishing and spending time with his wife and children.
