Matthew J. Nash, CPA promoted to Partner
Matthew J. Nash is a Partner at Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C., with a remarkable tenure since 2011. He specializes in audit, review, and compilation engagements, demonstrating his expertise in these areas. As a key leader on the Commercial, Not-for-Profit Audit, and Pension engagement teams, Matthew plays a pivotal role in ensuring client success.

Dawn Badorini Promoted to Senior Manager
Dawn Badorini, a Senior Manager in our Taxation department, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our firm. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation, both from Bentley University. Her commitment to education and specialization in taxation demonstrate her dedication to providing clients with top-notch service.
Having started practicing public accounting in 1998, Dawn specializes in Taxation and assisting Family & Independent Businesses. She has developed industry concentrations in Health Care, Real Estate, Hospitality, and Transportation, showcasing her ability to navigate the unique financial landscapes of these sectors.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Dawn actively contributes to the community through involvement in various Northampton youth sports organizations and booster clubs. Her commitment to community involvement is a testament to her dedication to making a positive impact outside of her work.

Daniel J. Eger Promoted to Manager
Daniel Eger is a Manager in our Taxation department, bringing extensive experience and knowledge to our firm. As an active member of Mass CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Daniel remains connected with the accounting profession, ensuring he stays informed about industry developments and best practices. Daniel embarked on his career in public accounting in 2001, specializing in Taxation services. His primary focus is on providing clients with tailored tax solutions. He has developed industry concentrations in Construction, Manufacturing, Wholesale & Distribution, and Transportation, which demonstrate his versatility in navigating various financial landscapes.
Beyond his professional role, Daniel actively contributes to the community. Olivia Calcasola Promoted to Tax Supervisor
Olivia Calcasola, Tax Supervisor, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Taxation department. Olivia holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. As an activmne member of Mass CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Olivia stays connected with the accounting profession, ensuring she remains informed about industry developments and best practices. Olivia began practicing public accounting in 2019. Her primary service area focuses on Taxation, where she assists clients with a variety of tax-related matters.

On her new role, Olivia states: “I will be taking on more difficult business entity returns and learning the review process of tax returns. I will also have the opportunity to be more involved in the training of younger staff and one on one mentoring.
I look forward to my continued growth and learning of more complex corporate tax returns. I hope to gain my CPA license within the next couple of years and become an outlet of support for fellow staff”.
Karen Korpinen Promoted to Senior Associate
Karen Korpinen, is a dedicated Senior Associate in our Audit & Assurance department, specializing in Assurance and Employee Benefit Plan Audits. With a strong background and a commitment to client satisfaction, Karen is a valuable member of our team. Karen holds a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) from Merrimack College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Clark University. As an active member of Mass CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Karen remains connected with the accounting profession, staying informed about industry trends and best practices. She began her public accounting career in 2022, and her primary focus is on Audit & Assurance services. Danny Krasin Promoted to Senior Associate
Danny C. Krasin, a Senior Associate, is a dedicated professional with a strong background and a commitment to excellence in Audit & Assurance services, Taxation, and Employee Benefit Plan Audits. Danny earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from American International College in 2015 and continued his education by obtaining a Master of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Taxation from Southern New Hampshire University in 2019. As an active member of Mass CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Danny stays connected with the accounting profession, ensuring he remains informed about industry developments and best practices.
Danny began practicing public accounting in 2018 and currently serves in our Audit & Assurance department. On his new role, Danny states: “My new responsibilities in this new role will be to step into an in-charge role in various size audit engagements where I will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audit services. I will also be assisting in the monitoring of engagement progress against budget and timeline, assisting audit managers in conducting risk assessments, helping new hires during the audit engagements, and submitting reports/updates to audit managers. I am looking forward to in my new role is taking on a larger leadership positions at the firm, the opportunity to expand my knowledge in the audit department, becoming a valuable resource for our clients, maintaining an excellent working relationship with clients at all levels to enhance customer satisfaction, and a chance to guide new hires to help them learn and develop as professionals. One thing that I am hoping to accomplish is building a rapport with clients at all levels and becoming a valued resource for them. Another thing I hope to accomplish is to become an effective team leader who can motivate and inspire, offer constructive feedback to facilitate growth, and oversee and direct a compliant and accurate audit process”.
Mia McDonald Promoted to Senior Associate
Mia McDonald is a Senior Associate, specializing in Audit & Assurance services. Her skillset is diverse – with strong focuses on Employee Benefit Plan and Municipal Utility audits, and expertise in both commercial and Not-For-Profit audits. Mia holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Business Management with a minor in mathematics and a concentration in accounting. She also holds her Master of Science in Accounting from Westfield State University. As an active member of Mass CPAs, Mia remains engaged with the broader accounting community, staying updated on industry developments and best practices. Mia embarked on her career in public accounting in 2021. Her industry concentrations lie in the manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, and Not-for-Profit sectors, where she applies her expertise to help organizations in this space achieve their financial goals and maintain compliance.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Mia is deeply involved in her community. She serves as the assistant Cross Country / Track and Field Coach at Westfield State University and actively participates in the firm’s community service activities, including volunteering at local organizations like Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen and coordinating gift drives to benefit local families at the Holyoke Boys and Girls Club. On her new role, Mia states: “In this new role I am looking forward to in-charging more on jobs and working directly with clients. I am excited for the opportunity to help develop new associates and address new challenges, especially as I work towards my big goal of completing the CPA exams over the next couple of years. I am looking forward to getting to know my clients on a deeper level and to building long-term relationships. John Carey Promoted to Associate
John Carey is an Associate, specializing in Taxation and bringing a customer-centric approach to his role. John earned his Bachelor in Business Management with a focus in accounting and a minor in economics. Having commenced his public accounting career in 2023, John focuses on the Taxation department, where he assists clients with various tax-related matters. His industry concentrations include Individual tax returns, as well as C & S Corporations and partnership tax returns. His specialization reflects his proficiency in handling a range of tax issues for different clients. John’s unique approach to customer service sets him apart. Drawing from his experience working in retail stores, he emphasizes treating people with respect and prioritizing clear and understandable communication. On his recent promotion, John states: “I will be focusing more on corporate tax returns and getting more familiar with more complicated, multi-state returns as well. I’m incredibly excited to have more responsibility starting with this upcoming tax season and in addition, I’m greatly looking forward to furthering my accounting knowledge in all different areas, especially with focusing on more complicated corporate returns and becoming more knowledgeable with how to provide our clients with the best services possible”.
