DMJPS PLLC Celebrates 25 Years of Commitment to Special Olympics with Record-Breaking Polar Plunge Support

Greensboro, North Carolina (February 22, 2025) — DMJPS PLLC, a Greensboro- based CPA firm, made waves at two locations for the Special Olympics Polar Plunge. As a longtime sponsor, DMJPS raised over $11,800, securing the trophy for “Most Money Earned by a Group.”

This year was especially significant, marking a milestone for DMJPS with its 25th consecutive year sponsoring the Polar Plunge events. In celebration of this long-standing commitment, DMJPS expanded its support, taking part in the Polar Plunge at North Topsail Beach for the first time. By adding a second plunge location, DMJPS demonstrated its unwavering dedication to supporting Special Olympics athletes across the state, broadening its fundraising efforts to reach even more communities in North Carolina.

The 2025 DMJPS “Polar Plungers” team included professionals from across the firm representing 4 different departments and 3 different locations; Rachel Blevins, Miranda Chambers, Brian Chandler, Kaleigh Craft, David Mize, and Katelyn Palau, of Greensboro, Kathie Clark of Sanford, and Adam Bernhard, Levi Jost, Kierra Smith, and Samantha Suozzi of Wilmington. Family and friends of DMJPS also joined the team for the official plunge!

With a winter weather system arriving in Greensboro and much of North Carolina earlier in the week, temperatures rose to only 26 degrees, making the already frigid waters even more daunting. Special Olympics reported that the event raised over $55,000.

Caren Rodriguez, Chief Marketing Officer at DMJPS, presented Special Olympics with the firm’s contribution. “Special Olympics is an organization close to our hearts,” Rodriguez shared. “Supporting this mission is deeply personal to our team. We’re excited to expand our impact this year and continue supporting these incredible athletes. Our gratitude goes out to our community, colleagues, and everyone who contributed to making this year’s event a success. We look forward to another 25 years of making a difference!”

With seven office locations across North Carolina, DMJPS remains firmly rooted in the communities where they live and work. The firm has now contributed well over $215,000 to Special Olympics through decades of dedicated support for this annual event.
