Greensboro, North Carolina (October 3, 2024) — North Carolina CPA + Advisory Firm Announces Mize and Barringer as Newest Partners DMJPS PLLC, a U.S. Top 200 North Carolina CPA and accounting firm, proudly announces the promotion of Mason Barringer, CPA, CFE, and David Mize, CPA, to Partners, effective November 1, 2024.
The promotion of Mason and David further strengthens the firm’s expertise in assurance, tax, and advisory services. As leaders, they have consistently delivered outstanding client service, spearheaded numerous internal committees and initiatives, and maintained active professional memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Mason Barringer will also serve as the Firmwide Director of Assurance effective November 1. In this capacity, he will oversee quality control, develop strategic processes, and foster team development. With over ten years of extensive experience, Mason leads and performs audits, reviews, and other attestation engagements. He specializes in fraud detection and litigation support, serving clients across various industries, including nonprofits, real estate, manufacturing, local government, and construction.
Mason holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a former member of the NCACPA’s Young CPA Cabinet, and is currently serving as an Investment Committee Member for NCACPA.
David Mize, with more than fifteen years of experience in public accounting, specializes in flow-through taxation. His expertise lies in tax planning and compliance for privately held businesses, focusing on sectors such as real estate, manufacturing, and trucking. David is well-versed in multi-state tax compliance, state tax planning strategies, and structuring complex transactions for maximum tax advantages.
David graduated with a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Baltimore. Beyond his professional commitments, David is an active community member, serving as the Board of Directors President for Earlier.Org, and is an alumnus of the Leadership of North Carolina program, a statewide organization designed to inform, develop, and engage committed leaders by broadening the state of North Carolina.
